Our whole Jovie Salon family is truly passionate about education, and this month we have lots of stories and pics to share!
Our exceptional team of stylists seek advanced training, workshops, hair shows, and classes brought within Jovie Salon each and every week, with professional academies here and abroad, and international industry educational shows and events! As with every other craft and artistic profession, we know the continual pursuit for new knowledge and the constant practice in refining advanced skills only betters us as true professionals. This month we have been especially busy and thought to share some of our fun travels, classes, and stories with you.
First, our whole stylist team traveled to New York for an international beauty show full of stage presentations, coloring/cutting/highlighting techniques, trends study and demonstration, industry workshops, and numerous courses. This event draws tens of thousands of industry professionals to New York each year. This is a perfect city for this industry conference given the confluence of fashion, design, beauty, and industry that defines this celebrated city.
Our stylists had a ridiculously good time! And importantly, we examined the newest ideas towards beauty trends and fashions, applied new techniques to coloring and cutting, and brought this new knowledge home to share with our fantastic clients. Some pics below.
A week later, Julie and Jo from Jovie Salon visited Santa Monica, California for another industry education event! This special event was sponsored by Goldwell, one of the leading professional color lines through our beauty industry, to demonstrate new advances to coloring and applications through professional salon environments. They also took the opportunity to visit the advanced training academy, meet other industry educators and professionals, and consider additions to our curriculum for our stylists’ continuing education. Finally, we were glad to welcome a visiting educator from Rene Furterer this month. Talented and professional salon educators join our education program within Jovie Salon to share insight, techniques, and demonstrations in support of our core program throughout the year. Beyond exceptional natural products and treatments, Rene Furterer is well known and respected for truly elegant and beautiful hair styling with stylists present at New York Fashion Week and fashion shows around the world. Including our own Julie!
